Expenditure on fast foods by income groups,UK 1990
The bar chart compares the amount of money spent on three different types of fast food by three income groups in the UK in 1990.
It is clear from the bar chart that there were significant differences in the type of fast food eaten by each groups. Additionally, the expenditure on fast food by low income was by far lowest during the research period.
The amount of money spent on hamburger was highest in the high income, at 42 pence. Meanwhile, consumers spent on 17 pence and 19 pence on Fish&Chips and on Pizza, respectively. In the average income, the expenses on hambuger was also higher than on the other fast food, at approximately 33 pence, whereas the amount of money spent on Fish and Chips was 25 pence. The lowest expenditure was only 12 pence on Pizza.
In the low income, the expenses on Fish&Chips was higher than on Hamburger and Pizza, at 17 pence. Meanwhile, rougly 14 pence on Hamburger compared to only 7 pence on Pizza.
