It is true that many international programmes are shown outside their own countries. Specifically in Indonesia, many people spend their time to watch foreign-made than local programmes: BBC, HBO, Fox Movies, etc. Although some believe that watching imported shows on television, I reckon that watching it too much will be dangerous for our society and cultures.

Nowadays, thousand people in Indonesia provide their money to become a costumer of foreign-made television shows which not a few of are willing to spend much money on it. It is sometimes said that seeing that program, people could enhance their knowledge not only about Indonesia, but also multinational news. So, they can follow the updated-news in their leisure time. It is also important for them, especially educated people to keep updating their knowledge about foreign bulletins because some people profess that their quality relates their own insights.

On the other hand, the ideas are rather than dubious. Many people admit that the majority factor of watching the foreign shows can be destructive for their cultures. Most of those programs relate to western countries which have mammoth differences to eastern countries, for example, Indonesia. Indonesia which is majored by around 80 % Muslims settles concern about people’s morality. The imported program often shows criminals, gossips, or even adult shows. Many dwellers relish their time to enjoy spending their hours on foreign programs. Naturally, they do not realize that they are rather to it than to their own local television, and it affects their behavior to be western people who are common with sex and party. While in Indonesia, the people surely pay attention to hospitality of morality.

To put them all in a nutshell, letting the people to just looking foreign shows on the television would damage their ethical. It is vital, therefore, that government should control and supervise the imported programs to decrease the negative possibility to their behavior. This should include banning the inappropriate program for them.
