Some peple believe that children's leisure activities must be educational, otherwise they are a complete waste of time. Do you agree or not. Gve reasons for your answer and include relevant example
Education and leisure activities are playing a vital roles for developing children in our society. nowadays education is more concentrated to children's career growth. According to me, current education system is only focused on career growth of a child and it is neglecting the intellectual skills of the pupils during younger age.
To begin with, ther are so many leisure activities like sports, mental games, and other cultural games available in our educational curriculum. These activities help the children to learn how to behave, control their emotions and follow their rules. Mental activities help to upgrade our mental abilities, while physical activities keep the children fit and healthy. Moreover, leisure activities contribute the child to learn co-operation, team work, self confidence, discipline and so on. And also, child become more productive than others during their future life. Some activities assist the pupils to earn small amount of money also. For example, activities like paintings, doll making and so on.
On the other hand, todays parents are more keen to secure their child with a job as early as possible, it is mainly due to the technological advancements and high cost of living. Some people think that non-educational activities have been wasted their valuable time. By doing this, the children have less confident or less productive in their carrer life.
To put it in a nutshell, I personally think educational leisure activities support the children to understand the real world more quickly and adapt to the reality, which is not lagged their time in their life. Education and leisure activities are the two sides of a coin. So each of them are very important to the chilren's successful life.
