In many countries schools are open before and after normal hours so children of working parents can stay longer at school. Do you think there are more advantages or disadvantages to this approach?
There are a few people who have never seen The Modern Times movie. This film was produced by Charlie Chaplin. Chaplin shown at this film how much people had to work in modern world. This fact have been continues until this time. These days, parents have to work more than normal hours pay days, so they have to leave their child alone or put them to schools or kindergartens. Nowadays, some schools have changed their normal open hours. They have opened early in the morning and have closed in the evening.
In my opinion, there are some advantages of this motivation. Firstly, parents are always worried about their children, but when they are at school they are in peace. Secondly, sometimes student need to do more exercises about their lessons. Consequently, they can improve their weakness when they are in school. Finally, as we said before parents have to work hard and when school open early they can put their children in school and arrive at work on time.
On the country, there is some dark side. For beginning, stay more hours in school might have some health issues. For example, in this situation student eat their lunch at school and most time they eat junk food like sandwiches and so on. Besides, they might feel lonely and lost their connection with their parents.
To sum up, in upon all dark sides, I think school with more hours is very good for every society. However, we should better manage our working time and try to come back home early and spent more time with our children.
