Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The table illustrates the percentage of school children’s attending different kind of school between the years 2000 to 2009. Looking at the overall trend it is evident that preference of pupil changed and more people attended the community schools, in comparison to other specialist school whereas pupil opt out themselves.

To begin with voluntary-controlled schools the proportion fell from 50% to 20% in a decade’s time. Similarly relative number of children in grammar schools also opts out and the number is relatively quite significant, these school witnessed decline of 50%. Specialist schools are also under the same kitty wherein they also feel the heat, but not that significant they saw a decline of only 2% which is very marginal.

However, where some school witnessed the sharp decline, on the contrary the community schools are on the one where pupil opts in more. In the year 2000 only 12% were educated in this kind of school, but by the year 2009 the number saw huge rise and 58% were educated.
