With the advancement of science and technology, the film industry has improved significantly, when compared to a decade ago. American film industry has developed sophisticated filming techniques and the actors has built good acting skills which produce high quality films. This has a huge influence on film industries around the world. Governments are responsible to invest into their film industries in order to protect and develop their own culture.
We do agree that American film industry has great influence to other parts of the world. Most, if not everyone has watched a film produced by Hollywood. People do enjoy the good acting skills, the professional animation and filming techniques. The production of these films is a way of American portraying their way of life and culture.
As people from other parts of the world enjoy the films, they start to imitate or follow the story lines and filming techniques of Americans. This leads to the loss of originality of the country, hence giving the young generation an impression that, it is their culture where in fact it is not. The government can take action to protect their own culture, by investing in the filming industry and promote filming movie based on their way of life. Initially, this may not receive attention from the audience, however, when people can relate to the films and see the potential improvement in the field, they will start to appreciate it.
In conclusion, American films do have influence and are well-known worldwide. Nevertheless, it should not influence the expression of cultures of other regions. Therefore, it is important for governments to take action to protect their own filming industries and promote their culture.
