The line graph illustrates changes in four method of travel in Metropolis between 1985 and 2010. General speaking, it can be seen that the use of public transport dramatically increased , while private car usage declined steadily.
The use of light rail and bus was approximately the same at around at 5 million trips in 1985. In 1990 light rail usage was a dramatic increase t reach approximately 7,5 million trips by 2000. By 2010, this was the most popular form of transportation at just over 8 million trips .Usage of buses remained steadily at 5,3 million trips from 1990 and 2000. But in 2000, this started to grow to a high of just over 7 million trips.In 1985, private car was the most popular transportation in Metropolis at just over 6 million trips. However, this declined steadily between 1990 and 2010 to under 6 million trips. Motorbike usage increased sharply form about 3,5 million trips in 1985 to just under 4 million trips in 2010.
