Over the past two years, our website has converted a consistent 3% of its visitors into sales, with very little fluctuation. Clearly, then, our goal for the upcoming year should be to raise the number of visitors to our site by any means necessary. If we can double our number of visitors by casting a wider net on pay-per-click advertising and by creating site content that is more search-engine friendly, we'll double our sales.
Discuss how well reasoned you find this argument. In your discussion be sure to analyze the line of reasoning and the use of evidence in the argument. For example, you may need to consider what questionable assumptions underlie the thinking and what alternative explanations or counterexamples might weaken the conclusion. You can also discuss what sort of evidence would strengthen or refute the argument, what changes in the argument would make it more logically sound, and what, if anything, would help you better evaluate its conclusion.
The argument states that the website wants to double the number of visitors in upcoming year in turn increasing the sales. For that they are thinking of increasing a wider net on pay-per-click advertising and creating a content which is search engine friendly. But by increasing the number of advertisement they can also repel the visitors to open the site. No one likes advertisements to block their content and diverting them to a different page while they are viewing an important content. People nowadays are more cautious while exploring a website and keep in mind that they are not clicking on anything irrelevant.
There is a chance of decrease in visitors by increase in advertisement on every site, they are going to ignore the best offers and deals as the advertisement will provide hindrance while accessing most of the sites while doing some important research or work such as making reservations or paying bills.
Even while searching for something else through search engines when someone is getting an irrelevant data they are more likely to ignore that thing. For example someone wanted to look for Green house effect and the engine shows the topmost result as green coffee beans, the person is more likely to ignore that result. The consumers now look for hassle-free exploring while using the internet. The relevant data is what people expect while exploring options. Yes, if the search is for a grinder and the first result is from the very website people are more likely to check the same.
In conclusion the website should keep minimum and relevant advertisement and marketing them on limited sites where visitors are more likely to check the advertisements and click on the same to explore different deals and offers and also to check what services are being offered. This would increase their service base and in turn will increase their visitors and costumers.

Not on the right track. need to argue something like: 'double our number of visitors' doesn't mean 'we can double our sales'.
