Your next door neighbor owns a small dog which barks throughout the day and the night. Write a letter to your neighbor requesting that something can be done about the dog. In your letter,
• Your reason for writing
• What would you like to happen?
• Be polite and nice
Dear Sir and Madam,
I am a nearby resident living next to your apartment and currently pursuing a degree in mathematics in Yale University. My subject being very tough, I need to spend more time studying and working through practice problems. I am writing to let you know my concern regarding ongoing barking of your dog.
Let me explain you in more detail. Your dog, though tiny, makes lot of noise and continue to bark until late in the night. Due to this, I am unable to concentrate on my studies and not getting enough sleep during the night.
I would request you to do something to reduce barking of your dog. Perhaps, you could lock it in a room at least during the night. I don’t mean to offend you but, I really need to work hard for my exams next week. I hope you could understand my situation and would control your dog. If you would like to discuss on this further, please feel free to call me. I hope we can resolve this smoothly. Thank you.
Yours sincerely
John welsh
