The chart illustrates the variety of levels of postgraduate diplomas in Australia and the percentage of males and females who had them in 1999.
The proportion of men who held the skilled vocational diploma that year, showed the highest tendency, about 90 %, while women's percentage was equal to nearly 10%. The biggest amount of women had the undergraduate diploma, about 71%, men's proportion was only 35%. The percentage of males and females, who held the Bachelor's degree was a bit alike, men's about 48%, female's about 55%. In 1999, the less amount of women decided to continue their education, hence, only 30% of them had the Postgraduate diploma, while men's proportion was bigger for about 39%. About 40% of females and 60 % of males held the Master's degree.
To draw the conclusion, the biggest tendency was shown from men's side, who held the Skilled vocational diploma, in 1999, it was equal to nearly 90%. And the smallest trend was illustrated by women, who had the same type of post-school diploma, the percentage was about 10%.
