The given table illustrate that the proportion of the workers in six industries in Australia during 1989 to. 2009. It can be seen that Manufacturing industry holds maximum percentage of that workers however, the tourism had least proportion of workforce.
It is Crystal clear that in only two industries the workforce decreased that were Manufacturing and Retail but the noticeable point is that there were comparatively more decrease in percentage of workers in Manufacturing industry (15-9.8) than Retail industry (11.8-10.1) during 1989 to 2009.
Next, A slight increase can be seen in other Industries that were healthcare, construction, Education and Tourism. There is a remarkable point that the proportion of employees in tourism industry became equal to education's workforce by 2009.
To conclude, In most of the industries number of employees increased slightly however, in two industries namely Manufacturing and Retail the proportion of workforce decreased.
