As computers are being used more and more in education, there will be soon no role for teachers in the classroom.
The advancements in technology are impressive and more and more people getting dependent on these innovations in particular to the field of education. Many students now a day get information via computers, do their homework on computers and perform research using computers. There are lots of advantages of computer however the role of a teacher cannot be replaced by computers.
There are many reasons for having a teacher, firstly some student cannot learn using modern technology they still require human interaction to understand and learn and for that reason teachers are very important. Similarly some students can learn more by getting appreciation from teacher and they find themselves be motivated by the teacher which a machine could not do. Computer can tell if the student is doing something correct but it cannot predict if the student is understanding the topic or not.
Although information through computers can be accessible twenty four hours and teacher only available for eight but the human to human connection and interaction is stronger than a human to machine. The reason being that student knows that they are dealing with a human not a machine.
In conclusion, I believe that no one can take place of a teacher as they play a significant part of child’s learning and computers cannot be a substitute of a teacher. Modern advancement can help improving the learning methods but it can’t replace a role of a teacher.
