The diagram illustrates how to use water to generate electricity. There are three main stages in the process of producing electricity, beginning with the evaporation of sea water and ending with the supply of electricity to customers.
In the first stage, the heat from the sun makes sea water evaporate and condense into clouds before it falls into the reservoir as precipitation. In the following step, the valve is opened for the water in the reservoir to flow through a pipeline running from the dam. When enough water is collected, the valve is closed and the water continues to run to the turbine, at which the turbine spins and creates energy. During the same time, the water also runs through the pipeline to a pump, which pours the water back into the reservoir.
The next step is that the energy is transferred through high voltage cables to the transformer station. Then, the generated electricity is provided to the hospitals/schools through underground cables.
