Essay topics:

A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum before going to college.

Students should not be forced to study anything that is not of their interest. Instead, students should be encouraged to study in their field of interest.

Students have their own field of interest and they are more likely to succeed in the field that they like than the field they are forced onto. For example, if a particular student is good at Chemistry and he is forced by the curriculum to study History as well, it is not going to benefit him and he may end up scoring less in History and hence affecting his overall GPA.

Students forced to study the subjects out of their interests can affect the students financially as they will be spending money for the books and other accecesories required to study that subject. In addition to that, students will waste their time as well. For example, if a student having interest in History is forced to study Computer related subjects, he will not only end up wasting the time which he could have used towards History, but he will have to spend a lot of money on the computer as well. This can affect the future of such students in many ways.

Although it is possible that some students aren't clear as to what they want to study or what field interests them. For such students, studying the same curriculum all over the nation may help the on deciding what interests them. However, this criteria alone is not sufficient for a nation to force students to study same curriculum all the country.

A nation should keep in mind all the above effects that can be caused due to their decision of same national curriculum. Student's future should not be compromised at any cost and hence curriculum should be planned accordingly.
