The line graph shows thefts per thousand vehicles in four European countries between 1990 and 1999.
The line chart illustrates the changing patterns in comparison of car theft in Great Britain, Sweden, France and Canada over the course of 10 years starting in 1990.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that the number of car thefts in Sweden and France experienced an upward trend between 1990 and 1999, meanwhile the figures in other countries about remained consistent. Throughout the period, the highest proportion of car thefts was registered by the UK, about 18 robberies among 1000 vehicles.
In 1990, the rate of car thefts in Canada stood at 7 per 1000 automobiles, which wasn’t altered at the end of the period although it fall into 5/1000 in the year of 1993. A similar pattern was witnessed in Great Britain, whereas two remainder lines gradually went up.
At the beginning of the course, car-theft rate of Sweden was nearly 2/1000 higher than the one of Canada. A relatively dramatically increase of its was seen, became almost double in 1999, while France’s rate experienced a slight rise from the lowest at first to the same with Canada.
