Integrated Writing Task
In this set materials, the reading passage state that some fossils have been found inside 200_million_years ago, could not belong to the bee nets. On the other hand, the listening section brings into question the reading by providing different reasons (and examples).
First of all, the reading indicates that the first bee fossils were discovered belong to 100_million _ years ago, and this fossil could not show bee nests; in contrast, the lecturer opposes this view by mentioning that in the 200_million _years ago, maybe trees could not produce some rezone and the sticky liquid which caused the preserve the fossils. Therefore, it is not mean that the bee could not live 200_million_ years ago.
Secondly, the reading argues that in the 200_million_ years ago, no plants existed; hence, the bees could not live. Conversely, what the lecturer believes is different. She points that the bee was fed no flowering plants such as pain trees. But, in this age, the bees depend on the flowers for feeding not 200_million _years ago.
Finally, according to the reading, the new fossil does not show some details. However, the speaker believes that modern bees use some specific chemical to waterproof their nests, and chemical similar to it have been found in the discovered fossil structure. Therefore, this evidence supports the theory of bee existence.
