human believes on elephant
the lecture and the reading both discuss whether or not the elephant has a supernatural power. while the reading states that People had a strong relationship with elephants for a long time; they believe elephants have supernatural powers. The professor refutes this, saying that the argument is not convincing and impractical.
First of all, the reading claims the elephants known their death; they move to near the water beds. most of the fossil records support the climes that elephants are died near to water. However, The lecture argues that the claim was not practical, Because they go near to streams for soft food. Furthermore, the professor states that the older elephant lost the tooth; they can't eat hard food, yet they need soft food which is enriched near the water beds.
In addition, people believe the elephant is capable of portrait pictures; they draw pictures like flowers and other routine things. The lecture counters this point by pointing out that because of the training. Moreover, the professor says elephants had sensitive ears; the trainer uses that region to train such huge animals. so, it is all because of the human training.
Lastly, the reading passage argues that elephant scare by seeing mice. The lecture refutes this claim by pointing out it is a misinterpretation. according to the professor, the mice and the elephant are two distinct size and species; they are unfamiliar with each other. He illustrated that zoos have elephant and mice. yet, an elephant never gets scar for mice because they are well known each other.
