In some countries, fast food restaurants and supermarkets give money to schools to promote their products. Is this a positive or negative development?
Nowadays, in some nations, unhealthy food businesses grant fund to schools to promote their products. The businesses such as fast food restaurants and supermarkets. In my opinion, this will lead to a negative impact on future generations.
To begin with, fast food considered to be unhealthy for anybody, especially for school children. For instance, consumption of less healthy food such as fried chicken or processed meat might cause serious health issue. As a result, student will not be able to concentrate in their education.
Secondly, parent have less control over what their children eat at school. When children especially in young age decide to choose what to eat for their lunch or snack will not consider or lack of knowledge over healthy and unhealthy food which they supposed to spend on. Consequently, most of the student end up eating unhealthy fast food.
Lastly, if this situation continues then there is a question on future generation and healthy leaders. Good health is essential factor within a society to produce a sound future society. if the schools in act of promoting products which surely harmful to the students then this will result in darker future for them.
In conclusion, I strongly believe promoting fast food and supermarket product at school will definitely negatively influence on our future generation. such activities has long term impact since prone to have student consume unhealthy food and adults has no control over what their children eat during school hours. In addition, this activities will impact vastly in our future generation. Given the situation schools should consider not to promote any unhealthy product to future generation.
