People should never make an important decision alone
Making an important decision is hardly easy for anyone as this will have huge impact on that person's future. However, when it comes to make such a decision, methods vary. Some people prefer to do this alone while other would consult for other opinions before coming to conclusion. To my view, a crucial decision should never be made on one's own.
First of all, people who are about to arrive at a big decision is usually not in their best condition to make wise judgment. As people are aware of the profound effect of their choice, they are often put under high pressure and as a result, may not be able to think. On the other hand, people outside that situation will see a bigger picture and give good advice to the decision-maker. An illustration is when I have to choose which college to apply when I was at high school. I can usually maintain my composure but this is such an important decision to my whole life that I was under a lot of stress and could not think straight. My sister actually helped me to calm down and logically evaluate competitiveness of my profile, my interest and potential universities. Thanks to her, I was able to focus on the core of matter and make in-depth and thorough analysis and reach the right decision
Furthermore, consultation from others would foster the decision-making process and the result would be usually better. Advice from people who have related knowledge and experience would obviously provide the decision maker with helpful information to make a wiser choice. Moreover, asking other people would allow one to see the situation from different perspectives. Therefore, he or she can make better judgment and reach better decision. For instance, my selection of college was the result of consulting from different people. My sister told me her experience in her technology college. My uncle, who was head of human resources department of a company gave me basic ideas about the labor market at present as well as trend in the future. My cousins who already had graduated and had a job at the time show me the reality of working in the fields. After talking to them, I feel better informed and more confident with my choice of college and major.
In conclusion, I believe that people should make major decision after consultation from others instead of doing it on their own. Key decision would exert enormous influence on people's life, therefore people should be careful when making them by consulting other people around

---------------------
Better to have 5 paragraphs with 3 arguments. And try always support/against one side but compare two sides, like this:
para 1: introduction
para 2: reason 1. address both of the views presented for reason 1
para 3: reason 2. address both of the views presented for reason 2
para 4: reason 3. address both of the views presented for reason 3
para 5: conclusion.
So how to find out those reasons. There is a formula:
reasons == advantages or
reasons == disadvantages
for example, we can always apply 'save time', 'save/make money', 'find a job', 'make friends', 'get more information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
or we can apply 'waste time', 'waste money', 'no job', 'make bad friends', 'get bad information' as reasons to all essay/speaking topics.
