Project work in group
The article asserts that the best way to handle new projects would be collect a group of people into a team. The professor refutes it by presenting recent two companies studies show the opposite results.
First, the reading states that all team member have a broad knowledge, different skills and various experiments that could lead the group project into success. Also, a group can work efficiently and spend less time to accomplish the arising ideas and problems. However, the lecturer opposes that every group member didn't participate in discussion and contribute their solutions and it takes long time to build the main idea. He mentions that it is tough to keep moving forward with plenty ideas.
Second, according the article, playing an important role in group process can be rewarding and it offers them great opportunity to be named as highly contributed member.
On the other hand, the speaker claims that actually it is hard to remember whose idea it was or who did really good job. Group people usually tend to drop each other’s discussion or ignore the coming up ideas all the time.
Finally, the professor explains that it is challenging to be influential, and the group projects never works.
