The pie charts illustrate the comparison between the number of tourists coming to Australia and Germany between 1960 and 2010.
In the overview, there was a complete turnabout while in 1960, Australia was most favoured by European tourists however just after a 50-year period, Asia tourism to Australia made up the largest part in even the greater proportion. For Germany, from 1960 to 2010 there was no major change and considered as the most popular tourist destination to neighbouring nations.
In 1960, the main tourism to Australia was Europe, which accounted for more than a half, 5 times higher in comparison with Asia, and Britain is the second significant source at 25%. However, the percentage of European travellers plummeted and hit the lowest part of only one in ten. Oppositely, the Asian travellers had a remarkable surge to 63% after 5 decades.
Regarding Germany, the European and British visitors both made up the greatest proportion in 1960 and 2010, which accounted for 65% and more than two fifths respectively. Moreover, USA tourism to Germany remains stable at approximately a quarter whereas the number of Asian tourists increased gradually from a tenth to 25%.
