Most people take interviews to elect a person for job. What are the other ways? What do you think is the best way to recruiters new employees?
The most popular way of recruiting a person for the vacancy is through face to face interview. There are several other methods for selection but in my opinion in person interview gives the best idea about the person’s skills and capabilities.
An employer can appoint people through numerous ways. Firstly, an online test related to the job responsibilities can be beneficial to both employer as well as the employees as the time of employer is saved that is being used on interviewing all people applying for a single vacancy. Moreover, the employees can appear for the test as per ones own ease and also aids for people to apply who are living in different cities. Secondly, the other possible way is to select the fresher based on their academic results and their performance during college by enquiring of them from their respective institutes.
Lastly, some of the organization posses a policy named as internal transfer in which a person of same company can apply for the vacancy in other area. This method can be a good option as the management are already aware of the skills and capabilities of that person, all they need is to check their knowledge is relevant for that particular job responsibilities.
According to my opinion, the most ideal way for recruitment is to filter the people from all the available resume for the job and then taking personal interview from the selected lot. This is because, it reduce the amount of time wasted in interviewing under qualified people and interview in-person provide good insight about personality and attitude towards work.
In conclusion, personal interview is the most common and the ideal method for recruitment adopted by majority of the organization apart from online test and internal switch policy. In my view, employer needs some modifications in the early stage of recruiting to avoid wastage of time.
