Some people prefer to live in a house, while others feel that there is more advantages to living in an apartment.
Are there more advantages or disadvantages of living in a house compared to living in an apartment.
Many people make choices about the type of accommodation they prefer to live in. Some people choose to live in a house while others would opt for an apartment. There are benefits and drawbacks for both options.
One of the main advantages of living in a house is the amount of privacy compared to an apartment. Without thin neighboring walls on either side of the abode and thin floors that can amplify even light footsteps, houses are usually constructed to insulate noise. This means more quiet and allows more freedom for tenants to do what they wish. Another aspect that contributes to the privacy is that houses are generally more spacious and therefore tend to have gardens. This is particularly important for large occupancies such as families. A garden can also give the opportunity for dwellers to enjoy gardening or to simply relax outdoors.
In terms of living in an apartment, the greatest benefit is the convenience. Most apartments are situated within the city rather than in the suburbs. Amenities such as shops, bars and parks are within walking distance and the transportation system is often efficient enough to remove the need for a car. In addition to this, apartments tend to be situated near offices or places of work which makes daily commuting straightforward in contrast to those who live further out of the city. Houses tend to be expensive and harder to maintain.
In conclusion, there are pros and cons for both options which can be swayed depending on a person’s circumstance. Generally, living in a house is more suitable for larger tenaces and those who prefer a quiet lifestyle. However, individuals who value convenience and enjoy the busy dynamics of a city may lean towards apartments, especially if they are on a budget.
