The line graph illustrates the price of fresh fruits and vegetables, sugars and sweets and carbonated drinks and how these figures changed throughout the period from 1978 to 2009
Overall, it's clearly that prices of three food groups increased during also similar to the trend of CPI. Although there were some fluctuations, prices of fresh fruits and vegetables still increased appreciably higher than other groups included CPI
All the lines began at the same point around 60 in 1979. The CPI rose steadily over the graph and reached the highest figure about 210 in 2009. The price of sugars and sweets and carbonated drinks also showed the same trend but after 1987 it was lower compared with CPI. Due to some minor fluctuations, the number of sugars and sweets was 200 in the graph trend with 150 of carbonated drinks at the particular time.
Prices rose sharply for fresh fruits and vegetables, especially after 1989. In 2009, it was highest with the figure 330
