Some people say that too much attention and too many resources are given in the protection of wild animals and birds. Do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
People have different views about protecting wild animals and birds is drawing too much concern and too many resources of society. While it is argued that it is of importance to allocate these resources to the human population, I completely agree that spending on protecting these kinds of wild animals can be sometimes more beneficial to human. The purpose of this essay is to analyze the controversy in more depth.
There are several reasons for saving wild animals and birds is that they are part of our ecosystem. One reason for this is that every species of wildlife plays a role to maintain the balance of life on Earth. For instance, there are many bat species that are becoming extinct. Such bats help keep the insect population in control. If these bats die then the insects will increase a lot and destroy our crops. So, we will have nothing to eat. Therefore, the loss of any species can affect us directly or indirectly.
One cannot deny that animal species have been vanishing at a much faster rate for recently. Especially when we consider that thousands of wild animals have been slaughtered or poached by some outlaws and some wild species are even facing the danger of extinction. The recent statistics show that over the past few years, the total population of this type of crane has shrunk to one-fifth of its original population, which means this crane is almost on the verge of extinction. It is understandable that it seems to me that other than spending too much fund or giving too much attention, our governments, as well as individuals, have not done enough to protect the wild lives.
In conclusion, I strongly agree the resources spent on these animals and plants, are well justified. Wildlife is Mother Nature’s greatest treasure. To protect it, we must take every measure.
