TPO - writing integrated taskSummarise the points made in the lecture. Be sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage - voting system
The reading passage and the lecture are both voting systems. The lecturer completely refutes the arguments in the article. She argues that these explanations are faulty.
Firstly, the lecture states that people who are not used technology of computerized system may be discouraged to vote or encouter problems and difficulties to vote. This directly opposes the reading passage that sates that the easy touch screen of computerized system will facilitate the process of voting even for that people that have poor eyesight.
Secondly, the lecturer explains that errors made by computerized voting machines can be enormously worst than that made by counting votes one by one manually since thousands of votes can be miscounted or even lost. Furthermore, computerized programs are made by humans, therefore, they are suceptible to be wrong. This idea disagrees with the article that argues that computerized systems remove the possibility of human errors.
Finally, the lecturer believes that the nationwide technology already present at baking transactions or in communication took a long time to be improved and well stablish as they are today. Moreover, voting just occurs occasionaly which does not provide time to computerized system to achieve the people’s confidence. The reading passage, on the other hand, states that baking transactions and communications are important examples that people trust sensitive information to technological devices.
