Test 2 Cambridge 7

The line graph illustrates the amount of meat eaten per person per week in a European country from 1979 to 1994.
In general, whereas the consumption of chicken experienced upward trends, that of beef, lamb, and fish decreased during the period.

To specify, the amount of chicken consumed per person per week started at the third highest figure, just under 150 grams in 1979. Then the consumption rose sharply, reaching a peak of approximately 260 grams in 2001, before numbering at a quarter of a kilogram three years later.

In contrast, the amount of beef eaten plunged from about 220 grams to only 100 grams. Similarly, the 25-year period witnessed a plummet in the consumption of lamb per person per week from 150 grams to just nearly 70 grams at the end. Unlike beef and lamb, the figure for fish declined steadily by 10 grams from 60 grams at the beginning.

Interestingly, throughout the whole time frame, chicken seemed to dominate over the rest and replace beef to be the most popular meat.
