The chart shows the percentage of male and female teachers in six different types of educational setting in the UK in 2010.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart shows the gender distribution of teachers across a range of educational setting in the UK in 2010.

In half of the types of educational setting, female percentage was higher than male. Female teachers made up a particularly large proportion of teachers in nursery / pre-school and primary school. The gender gap was considerably large in nursery / pre-school, where the percentage of female teachers was about 9 times higher than the male teachers.

In the other half of the types of educational setting, male percentage was equal or higher than female percentage: college, private training institute, and university. In college percentage of men and women teachers were equal. In university, however, male percentage was particularly higher than the female percentage (70% men vs. 30% women).

Overall, the chart shows that the gender distribution in four of the educational setting is almost equal but in the nursery / pre-school and primary school is female-dominant in the UK in 2010.
