The chart indicates the number of males and females taking part in both fulltime and part-time education during year 1970-71, 1980-81 and 1990-91 in Britain. The Unit of measurement is thousands in further education.
Overall, the people undergoing fulltime education was significantly higher compared to part-time education in Britain. The highest participation in the education was observed in 1990-91 (fulltime) and lowest in 1970-71 (part-time), both in women category.
The men participated in fulltime education was highest in 1970-71 and lowest in 1980-81 (1000 and around 850 thousands respectively) which was followed by around 900 units in 1990-91. But number of women who participated in fulltime increased considerably during years 1970-71, 1980-81 and 1990-91 with around 650, 800 and 1100 thousands respectively.
The men taking part-time education increased in the three years duration (around 100, 120 and 200 in 1970-71, 1980-81 and 1990-91 respectively). Similarly the women taking part part-time was around 90, 190 and 200 thousands in 1970-71, 1980-81 and 1990-91 respectively.
