Zebra fish spread in america
speaker is agree with points made in passage in regards to damage caused by zebra mussel by emphesing that this fish is one of the best invasive species that caused problem in america by giving billion dollar damage. it travelled to america to russia via boats. As per passage they have ability to attach themselves to bottom of boats and pipelines that carry water to cities. To unblock the pipes huge amount of money is required.
To avoide this problem speaker suggested that every ship entering in america from russia should be thoroughly decontaminated and should be checked for presence of fish furthermore, anchors and chains should be sterilised with fish by following decontamination procedures.
In passage writer points out that there is no natural enemy for zebra fish but according to speaker this is misconception it is true that no other fish is their for spawning compitation but other animals like some birds, ducks as well as corcks are their natural enemy. they can stop expansion of zebra fish population. Scientist should work on increasing number of birds in the fish territory because birds natural count is lesser to show effective results. speaker hopes that this solution will work and we can limit the speed spreading of zebra mussel.
Hence in conclusion, the speaker lucidly substantiates his points of view with cogency.
