Essay topics:

You and a friend have both been accepted to a study abroad program in Paris, France.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

Congratulate him/her for also being accepted

Ask him/her if he/she would like to be your roommate

Discuss possible activities that the two of you could do together

Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear ___,

Dear Yaman,

I hope you are doing very well, Firstly, I’d like to congratulate you on the acceptance to study Fine Arts at Nancy University in Paris. I really excited to see you there. As you may know, I also got acceptance to study Law at Lwise University which’s beside your university.

I am just writing to ask you whether you do not mind if we share a flat nearby the university, hence, I have no connection there and to be honest it’s very difficult for me to trust any one to live with.

By the way, there are some activities we can do together that will help us to cope with the new life. As I told you before, I had been working in an Arabic restaurant for more than 3 years, so I can cook some delicious food. Moreover, we can split the apartment cleaning based on our availabilities. And finally we can share the grocery expenses to save as much as we can.

I look forward to catching up soon in Paris!

Take care,

Bilal
