The graph illustrates the proportion of Australian male and female in various age groups who did daily outdoor activities in 2010.
Overall, it is immediately clear that men did most exercise in age group of 15 to 24 while women aged 45 to 54 took most physical activities.
Looking into the detail more specifically, men accounted for the highest percentage in the youngest age group ( 15 to 24), stand at over 50%. However, from 25 to 44 years group, female tended to join outdoor activities more than male, while the ratio of male tended to decrease with age ( 42.2% and 39.5% respectively).
Following the next age groups, the rate of women did outdoor exercise on a regulaly basis is higher than that of men in the 45 to 54 and 55 to 64 years groups. The proportion of female reached 47.1%, with that percentage for male not far behind ( 46.7%) in the age group of 65 and over.
