The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity
The picture is the diagram of power generation through geothermal source of energy which will be described in the following.
There are two main stages of electricity production, surface, and underground processes. The first step is to pump down cold water from surface tanks to 4.5 kilometers depth under the ground throughout the injection wells. The water will be heated by the hot rocks which were tempered by the magma. this hot water is the source of energy for producing power that is pumped to a condenser on the ground.
At the fourth stage, which the water in the shape of steam reaches the surface again, the steam in the condenser goes to the turbine which forces the turbine to rotate. When the turbine starts working by the power of steam, it helps a connected generator to produce the electricity by rotating the shaft between the generator and the turbine. The power generated by this procedure transfers to the distribution system for lightening our houses.
