The chart illustrates the amount of holiday makers to Phu Quoc island in the period from 2012 to 2015 (as of 7 Dec).

Overall, the total number of arrivals to the PQ has increased sharply in both international and domestic visitors.

It is clear that the figure for the domestic arrivals to the island was two times as much as that of the international comings, at 200,000 guests at the beginning. In 2013, the number of international holiday makers went up slightly with more than 100,000 visitors while the total number of visits was more than 600,000, an increase of 6 times in the first phase. Over a year later, although the number of foreign tourists was not grown much, the total travels to the island was extremely amazing, with about 1,000,000 visits. The last stage in 2015, the total tourism arrivals significantly accounted for about 1,500,000 travelers to the PQ in comparison with roughly 200,000 of international visits.
