Illustrated in the flow chart are the processes of producing energy by the means of hydroelectric power.
Overall, it is clear that the method of generating electricity through hydropower plant involves a series of systematic steps that differs during the day and night.
Looking closely, the daylight process starts with the collection of flowing water coming from the river. This water flows and is collected in a high-level reservoir. Once the adequate water level is achieve this follows with the opening of the dam, wherein water flows down leading to a rotating turbines. These turbines are responsible of generating electricity which runs through the electric lines of the generator. In the generator power lines are connected leading to the national grid which are then distributed for consumption. Meanwhile, the water that pass through the turbines flow into a low-level reservoir wherein it is later utilized during the night.
In comparison to the evening process, which involves two distinct method. First, the dam situated at the high-level reservoir is first shut off during the night. Afterwards the process begins in an reversible manner. To begin with, from the low-level reservoir water are pumped back to the turbines, passing the pipe lines leading to the high-level reservoir which water are collected in time for daytime use.
