The bar chart gives information about 6 subjects(linguistics,psychology,natural sciences,engineering,programming,mathematics) studied by research students in 2005.
Overall,the number of male research students studying different subjects are higher than that of female research students.
Both male and female students are mostly interested in natural sciences while in men the least interested in mathematics
compared to linguistics in women.In addition to natural sciences the men students are also interested in mathematics and psychology.
In terms of mathematics,boys are 200 on this as opposed to below 50 for girls.In men both programming and engineering subjects are equally studied (exactly 150) which was highly recorded when compared with opposite gender (around 75 and 85 respectively).In psychology full strength of men opted to this subject that is 200 where women strength was around 175.
On the other hand,linguistics are mostly studied by females where Above 100 students are studied by them, which was slightly more than the males who are between 50 and 100.In comparison both categories accounted for same population for natural sciences
