Describe your School Spring Festival.
In Vietnam tradition, Tet is certainly the festival which people expect the most. It occurs from the beginning of lunar calendar, so internationally it’s called “Lunar New Year”. Normally, in my school, before the students come back to their home to enjoy Tet, the teacher will hold the Spring Festival for students to entertain themselves after a hard year.
School Spring Festival lasted for 1 day, but the preparation for it was about 1 week. With this preparation, the festival was so successful and memorable. In the morning, the school yard was covered with full of colors , flowers and the hustle and bustle of people. Firstly, every class had their own uniform, so there were so many kinds of style, color which showed the identity, uniqueness of that class and due to this , the school seems to have turned into a flower garden. Then, every class made a camp which class members could sit here to take a rest or eat and drink or play boardgame together. Besides, the teacher hold lots of competitions for students such as Writing parallel, Making New Year greetings card, Cooking dried candied fruits or Outdoor activities, etc.
At night, a gala night was held. The stage and the school yard were flooded with colours, lights and people which lifted them up and made everyone feel like they were in a real concert.They enjoyed the music , move their body and sing along to the lyric of the song. One of all the things most special in this festival was big campfire. A big cord of wood was placed in the school yard and burned shortly. Thereafter,the students would hold the hand to make a big circle. Then they run around the fire and sing together the song “ Noi vong tay lon”. Although it was so hot, we not only not worried about it but also enjoyed it so much. It was really a great time and brought to us a lot of happiness and maybe a little bit sad for the students of grade 12, because this was the last time we could be in Long An High School For Gifted Students with our class.
After a day with full of feeling, we came back to our home and brought lots of memories and photos of the festival. Having said that, School Spring Festival is festival I love and enjoy the most.
