Overall, the poorest Americans have a higher percentage of income on fuel, whereas in the United Kingdom the wealthier people are spending more.
The United States of America as people have a lower percentage of income the amount of money spent on petrol started as the highest to just above 5% but experience a continuous gradual decrease until it reaches the richest category to nearly 3 %. By contrast, in the United Kingdom, the values went up consistently from the poorest level and as people get higher income. The figures recorded from just under 1% and peak at around 4% respectively.
The richest people in both countries have an equal proportion on which accounts for nearly 4% but eventually continuous to decline for the USA to approximately just above 2% and the UK slightly decreases to nearly 3%.
