The most effective ways for the government to conserve energy is to increase the price of gasoline and electricity.
Nowadays, people do not feel comfortable with an increase in the cost of stuff controlled by the system. However, the government can do cultural activities such as advertising on television or in newspaper or so on to encourage them to use public transportation (for example) or frugal in fuel usage. While increasing the fuel cost may help the country’s economy, educating and cultural activities could be an effective procedure. I believe that it is far better to work on the mind of the people of the country to educate them to save fuel. There are several reasons for this, the most salient ones of which will be explained hereunder.
First, cultural activities have an appropriate response for people to save energy. The regime can teach the people of their country to save energy by improving the method of the people’s lifestyle and educate them to save fuel. It is impossible by advertising on television or teaching them how they can save energy and the method of using less fuel in lifestyle in different ways. For example, the system should make a television show. Of course, the government should teach the children in school and consider some courses about this topic.
Another important factor is that, improve the public transportation system. An increase in energy cost may be led to widespread public protests. While the increase in energy cost may produce a fundamental problems from the people of the country, improve the mass transit system can be an efficient way to decrease the usage of energy. For example, improve the sub-way system in which people could use them in a convenient matter.
In conclusion, I really believe that the government should teach the people of the country by a different methods to encourage them to save energy and the increase in energy cost is not an appropriate way. If the government uses the cultural method to learn the people to decrease the usage of the fuel it will get a very good response.
