Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.
Write a letter to the college enrolment officer. In your letter
• explain why you are writing
• describe your circumstances
• ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enroll in the course
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter in response to your advertisement published on 1st, April in The Tribune newspaper. I would like to enrol for the six months advanced computer course offered by your college. As it is stated in the advertisement, to register with this course applicant must complete a basic computer course. But unfortunately, I have never studied about computer before.
Allow me to express, I am really interested in learning about the computer, therefore, I started studying the basic computer skills from my friend who is studying computer science at Oxford University. Thus, I do not pose any certificate for the fundamental course which is essential to start this program.
I am a quick learner and quite excited about learning advanced computer skills. I always performed well in the other subjects and recently received a scholarship for my excellent performance.
In view of the above, I would really appreciate if you could allow me to enrol for the aforementioned course in your college for this semester in a special case.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Vishal Kumar
