Individuals cannot alleviate the poverty that exists in the world; it is the responsibility of governments.Do you agree or disagree?

It is a controversial topic that is heated upon as a debate whether or not the Governments or individuals responsible for the current poverty in the world. In my opinion, I believe both of them are equally responsible to it and let me justify the statement.

First of all, Governments have all the authority, budget and consummate officials placed at all levels to work for public services. Therefore, it’s their sole responsibility to widen the opportunities that are available in their country and in turn should generate revenue. These funds should then be used to increase the standard of living and as well as to rule out the poverty. For instance, in India, the poverty line was below 40% during early 1970’s but Government have taken all efforts by having good relationship with neighboring countries their by increased the Import/Export , encouraged IT field and entered into the Globalization market which has led way to overcome the poverty.

People, on the other hand, should also support the Government to get rid of this poverty. For example, Africa is one of the country which is under poverty for many years. It is one of the hottest desert where we cannot lay farms for agriculture, set up big industries. Therefore, in such circumstances, even Governments may not be able to do much to overcome the poverty. But people should think out-of-box like encouraging their kids to learn Sports, develop English Skills which helps to explore many more opportunities across the world through which they can get rid of this poverty.

To sum up, I pen down to say that we cannot blame only Governments but both Individuals and Governments are responsible in bringing up the country.
