The given bar chart illustrates 4 most crucial causes of stress for 4 different age group in Canada.
It is apparent that while people age 65 and above mainly worried about health or had no specific reason, younger people who age 64 and below had struggle with working too much or inadequate income. It is also observed that people of all studied age groups frequently could not give a detailed reason for their stress.
People age between 65 and 74 and in their late 70s did not have particular reason of stress, at 32 and 35 out of 40 respectively, which was the majority of the causes. However, that of people between 55 and 64 was lower, at only 17 while that of people from the last age group was only 7, making it the lowest. The same pattern was also seen at health-related causes. Owning health problems was 23 out of 40 for the oldest age group while that of the youngest was about six times lower, at 4.
By contrast, people from two younger age group had a tendency to be stressful about overworking and the shortage of money. Excessive working made up 25 out of 40 at people between 25 and 40, while that of people between 55 and 64 was 15 out of 40. Oppositely, for people age between 65 and 74 and in their late 70s, the figure was much lower, at 3 and 1 respectively. The 25-54 age group worried about having inadequate money, at 15 which was five times higher than that of 75-and-above age group.
