The table provides the data on the number of people visiting the UK and their medium expenditure over the course of five years starting from 2003.
Overall, it is clear that the amount of spending and the average spend per visit saw an upward trend throughout the given period. While there was a fall in the quantity of visitors and that of average night per visit.
Regarding from the graph that from 2003 to 2005, there were 24.715 million holidaymakers heading to the UK, which was then rose by 5 million in 2005 (29.971 million). During the same course, the expenses increased from 11.855 pounds to 14.246 pounds. Additionally, a decrease in the figure can be seen in the average expenditure for each visit and there was a slight growth of only 0.1 in 2005 compared to that of 8.2 in the past two years.
It can be indicated from the table that between 2006 and 2008, almost 32.700 million vacationers went on a trip to the UK but later fell to 31.888. In addition, both spending and average spend per visit witnessed a rise in the amount. However, after going up to 8.4, the quantity of medium nights for every visit had a similar decline at 7.7 in 2007 and 2008.
