Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.
The specific data of the worldwide electricity production from the renewable sources are illustrated in the table, covering the period from 2009 to 2012. The sources are divided into six different groups namely, geothermal, wind, solar, hydraulic and, biomass and, the numbers in the table expressed by trillion watt hours (TWh).
Overall, data is proving that hydraulic electricity production is still considered as the highest usage and, on the other hand, the lowest usage thorough four years has changed. Nevertheless, usage of all groups renewable sources are inclined by a distinct amount with each passing year. For instance, geothermal usage was 67.4 in 2009 and reached 70.4 in 2012 with a slight increase. This trend has repeated in Bio-mass and Hydraulic energy sources.
Furthermore, solar energy was in the bottom of the list in 2009 but, in 2012, the consumption has surpassed geothermal sources and rose almost five times within the period (21TWh to 70.4TWh). Striking increase was not only detected in solar energy but also, the wind energy source production has nearly doubled in 2012 (534 TWh) compared with 2009’s usage (276.4TWh).
