The graph provides information about the changing trend in weight of acid rain emissions from four sectors in the UK between 1990 and 2007.
From 1990 to 2007, the UK had cut down millions of tonnes of acid rain emissions. In addition, the one from electricity, gas, and water supply decreased dramatically.
Before 1991, the weight of acid rain emissions from electricity, gas and water supply was the highest, at about 3.3 million tonnes. While transport and communication acid rain emissions were over 2 million tonnes, the figures for domestic and other industries were nearly the same, just over 0.5 million tonnes. Furthermore, domestic still had the lowest weight of acid rain emissions.
By 2007, electricity, gas and water supply had cut down a significant weight of acid rain emissions to 0.5 million tonnes compared to transport and communication and the other industries, at about 0.75 and 1.25 respectively.
