The diagrams provide details about the reasons to do trips and the most common problems associated with public transport in the US in 2009. Overall, the main reason for people to travel is for work and the public travelling costs as the main matter.
To begin with, relatives were the least reason to travel for, with only 6% , which interestingly was 4 % lower compared to the recreation group. Shopping and personal reasons stood almost at the same amount , respectively 16 and 19%. Additionally, the major part has been taken by work reasons with almost half of the total.
On the other side, the main concern of public transportation was ticket price, which was positioned at just over 1/3 of the whole. Safety concerns, aggressive drivers and highway congestion have almost had the same importance varying from 19% to 14 % with only 2 or 3 % of change between. The least problems encountered were allied to pedestrians and transport access which together made up 14%.
