Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship. Use specific detail and examples to support your answer.
Truth is the base of all relationships. Relationships are built on certain attributes like faith, confidence, affection, etc. All these attributes depend upon truth directly or indirectly for their validity. So, I agree with the statement that telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship.
Telling the truth in any relationship benefits to develop above said attributes. Although many people consider that sometimes telling a lie maintains the relationship. But , I believe that not telling a truth to your dear one implies that we have no trust in him/her. Its immediate effect might be bitter one but in long run it strengthen the relationship.
If we maintain a relationship by telling a lie but we always kept in mind that nobody can keep the lie hidden. The lie will be exposed in future. Then it hurts the concerned person a lot more than at beginning he /she got hearted by the truth.
Sometimes telling a lie maintains a relationship. But with time that lie may lead to big problems and the another person in relationship may lost his/her whole faith in you. In such cases the same level of faith or affinity can never be reestablished. The small lies told to maintain a relationship , sum up to such a level that they broke the relationships of years in just one second.
Telling a truth not only shows your faith in the partner in a relationship it also makes you feel tension free. Holy books of all religions also emphasize on telling the truth in any circumstances(good or bad). The persons who afraid of handling the situations, they tell lies to their dear ones to escape from facing the truth.
The relations are built on a very delicate threads of faith between each other. Truth provides the strength to these threads. So, to keep a relationship alive it is very important that partners of that relationship tell truth to one another.
