The table below gives information on consumer spending on different items in five different countries in 2002.

The given table provides information regarding consumer expenditure by three categories in five countries in the year 2002.

According to the table, there was greater expenditure on "Food/Drinks/Tobacco" in all countries. Turkey was the most popular country spending on this category with 32,14%. Ireland was registered as a second country being 28,91% while the number for Spain and Italy was 18,80% and 16,36% respectively. Sweden hold the least percentage of spending on the category with 15,77%.

Furthermore, expense on " Clothing/Footwear" and " Leisure/Education" was seen the next popular items respectively. 9% consumer spent their money on buying clothes and footwear, meanwhile, it was almost similar for the others with just over 6% in each. The percentage showed the smallest proportion for Sweden with 5,40%. National consumer expenditure on "Leisure/Education" had tiny proportion of money. The figure was 4,35% in Turkey while it was 1,98% in Spain. Other countries represented the percentage which was between those numbers.

Overall, there was the highest consumer spending on "Food/Drinks/Tobacco" in all countries, while the percentage of expense on " Leisure/ Education" indicated the least number.
