The pictures in question represent the present and future layout (after incorporating some changes) of James Park in 2017 and 2027 respectively with a mention of the present and proposed future number of visitors.
As evident from the schematics that the place in question is about to experience a barrage of improvements and upgrades. In 2017 the area housed only a toddler playground and a science center in addition to a main playing ground, a statue and a fountain. The roads connecting each of them was not sufficient and layout fairly simple. There is no direct road leading to the science center. In 2027 James Park is getting a facelift and as per the proposed design plan , it will not only hold the oldies like the effigy, playground ,and science center(which is more expansive ) but also add into itself a garden , a gymnasium and a theater. The roadway network will be more dense and interconnective , ensuring to every part of the place is well -connected. Vital structures like playground and theater are connected by more than one lane. As a result of the renovations the toddler playground and are removed. Also such a move is expected to quadruple the number of visitors from 5000.
So it is pretty obvious from the diagrams that after undergoing a massive renovation work , the Park will be much larger and complex on the contrary will be more visitor-attractive
