The chart below shows a comparison of different kinds of energy production in a European country in 1995 and 2005.
The two pie charts reveal changes in a European country’s energy generation from five different sources namely coal, gas, petro, nuclear and others during a 10-year-period from 1995 to 2005. Overall, the rate of energy produced from all categories except for Petro witnessed an upward trend over these years surveyed. Additionally, Coal was used the most type of energy among all.
It can be seen that the figure for coal always possessed the highest value, accounting for 29.80% in the first year then made up 30.93% in the last year. This was followed by gas with its proportion increased by 0.68% to 30.31% 10 years afterwards. Regarding the energy generated from nuclear and other kinds of material, the rate maintained the lowest figure despite an approximate two-fold growth, comprised of 6.4% and 4.9% in 1995 then rose to 10.1% and 9.1% in 2005 respectively. By contrast, only a decline occurred in the proportion of energy produced from petro in two years shown, which its figure dropped by 9.72% to 19.55% in the last year.
